Use specialist guidance
Divers Alert Network distinguishes single no-decompression dives from repetitive or multi-day diving. Its commonly cited minimum preflight intervals for asymptomatic divers are 12 hours and 18 hours respectively; dives requiring decompression stops need a substantially longer interval. Check current DAN guidance and your dive professional's advice. These figures are not individual medical clearance.
Work backwards from takeoff
Use the last surfacing and actual flight departure rather than the car pickup time. Settle a suitable diving schedule before committing to an excursion. A later collection cannot make an unsuitable flight safe.
Confirm the road details afterward
Once the dive and flight plans are suitable, send the hotel, airport, flight and equipment list to dispatch. Possible diving-related symptoms require urgent professional assessment rather than a change to transport timing.
