One Arrival, Two Hotels: Share a VIP Vehicle or Book Separate LRM Transfers?

LRM VIP travel planning

If your group arrives at La Romana International Airport (LRM) together but stays at two hotels, request a complete itinerary before deciding between one VIP vehicle and separate rides. One vehicle may work if the route, luggage and agreed stops fit. Separate vehicles let each party travel to its own destination. Neither a second hotel stop nor a particular vehicle arrangement is automatically included in a single-destination fare.

Start with the two exact destinations

Write down the full property names from both accommodation confirmations. Friends attending the same wedding or holiday can be staying in different fare zones, even when both reservations use La Romana in their descriptions.

Use the existing route pages for Casa de Campo, Bayahibe and Dominicus to identify the relevant destinations. Two properties in one zone still have different receptions; a common zone does not make a second stop part of a direct airport booking.

For a private villa, add the community, villa number, map pin and host contact. Ask each accommodation which entrance the vehicle should use. The resort name alone does not establish the final drop-off.

Compare the complete journeys

Ask dispatch whether it can accept the proposed route and, if so, to confirm the stop order and total. Do not assume the first hotel on a list is naturally first on the road.

QuestionOne vehicle with agreed hotel stopsSeparate vehicles
Who travels together? The whole party stays together until the first agreed drop-off.Each hotel party travels in its assigned vehicle.
What journey is quoted? The full route through every accepted stop. Each vehicle's own origin, destination and requirements.
What must fit?All passengers, suitcases, seats and equipment at the same time. The people and luggage assigned to each vehicle.
What happens after a change? An added stop or a revised order needs acceptance.A changed passenger group or destination needs acceptance for that vehicle.

One vehicle does not necessarily mean a lower total, and separate cars do not guarantee a shorter airport exit. Compare the actual accepted offers rather than multiplying or dividing a single hotel estimate.

Consider what each hotel party needs

A shared journey can suit people who want to stay together and are comfortable with the confirmed stop order. Separate vehicles may be more practical when destinations take the party in different directions, one guest needs to reach a host independently, or a proposed detour is unsuitable for the rest of the group.

For example, one family may stay in Bayahibe while friends continue to Dominicus. Ask whether a combined route can be accepted; do not treat the extra reception as a free stop. A different group splitting between Casa de Campo and Dominicus should request its own comparison, rather than reusing the first group's plan.

Keep immediate hotel appointments flexible. Immigration, baggage collection and meeting the driver happen before the road journey, and neither vehicle arrangement guarantees a particular check-in time.

Count the complete vehicle load

If everyone shares one vehicle, all luggage must fit before anyone reaches a hotel. Do not calculate space from the smaller party remaining after the first drop-off.

Prepare a load list for each proposed vehicle:

  • Every passenger, including children and infants.
  • Full-size suitcases and cabin bags.
  • Child-seat requirements and each child's relevant measurements.
  • Folded strollers, wheelchairs and other bulky items.
  • Golf cases or equipment that needs special space.

If you compare separate vehicles, divide the bags and equipment alongside the passengers. Tell dispatch which child seat belongs with which family. Use the group and luggage planning guide to prepare the details; a quoted passenger band is not a guarantee of unlimited baggage capacity.

Make the stop order and handovers explicit

For an accepted multi-stop journey, confirm both entrances and the agreed order in writing. Identify the passengers and bags leaving the vehicle at each property. Keep essential items with the people who need them, rather than leaving them inside a case continuing to the second hotel.

A hotel drop-off is different from keeping the car waiting while guests complete check-in, collect keys or attend a meeting. Request any waiting in advance and obtain acceptance. If a host cannot receive a villa guest, contact dispatch and the host rather than assuming the driver can stay indefinitely.

For separate vehicles, give each vehicle a reachable travelling contact and its own clear destination instructions. One organizer can coordinate the group, but should not be the only person who holds every confirmation.

Ask for the full price before choosing

The published VIP prices describe the stated routes and party sizes. A request covering two properties needs the complete itinerary checked. Do not add two zone fares yourself, assume only the more distant zone is charged, or assume one fare can be split into several vehicles.

Ask the team to confirm the accepted stops, vehicle arrangement, total, payment responsibilities and any agreed waiting. If different families pay separately, arrange that with dispatch before travel. A last-minute change to the second hotel may affect routing, availability and cost.

Plan each airport departure separately

Sharing an arrival does not mean everyone should share the journey back to the airport. Guests can have different flights, hotels, airports or passenger counts by departure day.

For each departing party, provide the hotel entrance, airport code, date, flight and luggage requirements. Ask dispatch to confirm the collection plan around the actual flight and airline reporting requirements. A pickup that works for one departure may not suit another.

Confirm any applicable matching-route discount with the team. A combined arrival with several hotel stops should not be assumed to qualify for the same calculation as a straightforward airport-to-one-hotel round trip.

Send a request that can be compared

Please compare one accepted VIP journey with two hotel drop-offs against separate vehicles for the following LRM arrival. Confirm availability, vehicle suitability, stop order and the complete price for each option.

  • Airline, flight number and local arrival date:
  • Hotel or villa A, entrance and party size:
  • Hotel or villa B, entrance and party size:
  • Passengers and luggage for each hotel:
  • Child seats, mobility needs and bulky equipment:
  • Travelling contact for each party:
  • Any requested waiting or additional stops:
  • Departure flights and hotels for the return journeys:

Send the details through the LRM VIP booking form or the established dispatch contact. Treat both options as requests until the team accepts the arrangement. Before flying, make sure every passenger knows which vehicle and destination appear in their final instructions.

Prepare the pickup before flying

Review the meeting process and send both destinations, the complete load and each party's contact for confirmation.
